Hello guys and hope that you all are doing very well in life. I want to touch on some of the things about what I saw in the first game at Colonial Life Arena against Longwood.
First you will notice that the coaches did a good job in bringing some sizes to the front court. The length of the guards will affect the other teams ability to penetrate at ease this year compare to the guards the Horn brought to Carolina.
Ty Johnson will be that floor general that has be sorely needed to make this team go. He can push the tempo or slow it down. Glad to see that the NCAA will allow Johnson to start the season instead of waiting multiple games.

in RECRUITING
Braxton Berrios out of Raleigh is a wide receiver very high on the Gamecock's priority list for the class of 2014. The feeling by all the recruiting service is that South Carolina currently has a comfortable lead, followed by home state North Carolina. Florida has not yet offered, but is coming on strong. He has offers from North Carolina, East Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia Tech, Minnesota, Maryland and South Carolina, and is drawing interest from Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State.

GAME NOTES: The South Carolina Gamecocks entertain the Georgia Bulldogs at Colonial Life Arena on Saturday afternoon, as both teams try to make up ground in the ultra-competitive SEC.
Georgia's season as a whole has been rather disappointing at 9-11, but it has inched closer to .500 in conference play (3-4) in recent weeks by winning three of its last four games. After registering an impressive 59-52 triumph over Texas A&M last Saturday, the Bulldogs topped Auburn at home on Wednesday night, 57-49

By Doug Jolley
The start of college football season is seven months away, and for college football fans, it is once again the “Silly Season,” discussing the topic that is literally changing the face of college athletics at its highest level — realignment.
The B1G (Big Ten) has made the topic red hot again with their recent acquisitions of Maryland and Rutgers. The hottest rumor is that the University of Virginia could possibly join Maryland in leaving the ACC and moving to the B1G. Then came the open talk of Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee about how the B1G could add as many as six more teams, specifically from the southern part of the east coast.
That puts the bulls-eye squarely on the Atlantic Coast Conference. This week's statement by Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby further raised the temperature of the topic when he implied that the Big 12 is prepared to act if further realignment moves are made by other conferences.
