Which programs do you perceive to be South Carolina’s primary head-to-head competition recruiting rivals?

In the SEC I would say Georgia. We go head to head a lot against them for talent.

Athens Butt Sniffers, Taters, Crimson Tide. If I am right we are in pretty good recruiting company based on recent history.

All I know is our recruiting rivals are a better group of programs than they were at the end of Spurrier's tenure. Muschamp has really stepped up our recruiting

Head-to-head rivals?  Alabama doesn't fit that bill.  We don't often recruit head-to-head with the Tide.

The Taters and UGa are obvious as we are often after the same recruits.

Tennessee is another that always seems to be one of the schools that is after the same recruits.  We've won our share against them lately.

I'd say that those three are the primary recruiting rivals.  We may go up against N.C. State or the TarHoles for the occasional North Carolina player, but I wouldn't put them in the primary rival category.

Georgia and UT are the biggest threat. All of these coaches know each other well, having many things in common. If we keep our staff we will win as many as we lose. Our future QB said that the SEC recruits itself, therefore I am dropping Clemson in recruiting battles and pulling for N.C.State to make some major noise in their conference. I feel really salty at UT as they are trying to reassert themselves using players from our home state. They even have Shaq Wilson and Big Byron on their staff.

thought Shaq Wilson worked for USC as an employee. If so how can he be on a staff for UT recruiting. I am confused.

He left when Pruitt was hired. He's not recruiting though. He and Jerideau are on the strength staff I believe.

You can never leave the taters out with all the money they spend buying recruits up there.

Shaq Wilson and Byron Jerideau were two of my favorites when playing. Hard to wish them well at UT though.
