Quarterback Jake Bentley will not take another snap under center at South Carolina. Bentley announced on Monday that he will transfer for his final season of college ball.

Don't blame him. Hope he finds the right landing spot.

While this was not unexpected, what will be telling is who else leaves and how many more will go and which positions will be hardest hit?

This comes as no surprise.  He had little to nothing to gain by coming back.

He has a lot of talent. If he can find the right program that needs a QB he can have a nice final year. I wish him nothing but the best!

His personality and natural talent will be someone’s gain. I hope they have a great QB coach who can help him reduce the overthrows. I’d like to see him at full potential

I thank him for all that he did for us and hope that he will land in a program where he can show his full potential and take his game to the next level.

It'll be interesting to see how he does elsewhere. It seems like our QBs come in with natural talent that this staff coaches out of them.

Might go somewhere and end up beating us.

We all knew that Bentley would do this. Just hope he don’t end up with a team we play against. Best of luck Jake, hope you find the perfect fit :)

Daddy is staying, I think.  The younger twins are all into their lives here.  I feel like Jake ends up out west.  Utah is looking for a new guy. Jake took a lot of abuse on social media.  Losing  Deebo just took Jake’s best weapon away.  It was the reason we looked better last year than in this season.  There was no Deebo in the Belk Bowl or at UNC this season.

Jake is a great kid and I hope he does well.

That would be a great pick.

Wish him the best, never had anything bad to say about him except some of his performances on the field but I always felt he gave it his all. I hope he goes to a school we don't play against and is highly successful.

I like Bobby, but we need a proven OC and some fresh blood in this program. Getting someone from outside the program would infuse some new ideas into the meeting room. Heck, Bryan is a nice guy and is liked by folks around the program but we needed to get someone who has a track record of proven success calling plays.

And I do wish Jake success, he's a good, young man and a fresh start may do wonders for him.

Bobby flopped at PC, but he was good in high school.  I hope we will be able to get somebody that has excelled at a P5 school.  That might prove to be a problem with all of the other vacancies.

I hope Jake does well and I would not mind us playing against him. We know what it takes to cause him to melt down,
